Makeup Disaster

This 3 products together was a disaster:
The Majolica Primer did not work with the Maybelline foundation, the foundation just wouldn't blend on top of the primer and the balling up was pretty bad. I've used these 2 items separately and never had any problems.

The powder gave me the biggest irritation ever, I had it on for about 30 minutes and was itching all over the place.

I had to wash everything off and ended up giving the powder away.

Majolica Majorca Pressed Pore Cover

Contents: 10g
Price: HK$158.00
Local of Purchase: Watsons

Shiseido Majolica Majorca Pressed Pore Cover. Visible pores disappear with just one coat. A powder that leaves skin looking and feeling matt, soft and smooth. A powder that leaves skin immaculate like an angel. Formulated with three different powerful powders for an exquisite balance, an amazing and satisfying smoothness continues for hours.

Ingredients: Talc, Polyethylene, Diisostearyl malate, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Calcium Stearate, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Triethylhexanoin, Silica, Sorbitan sesquiisostearate, Citric Acid, Sodium phosphate, Tocopherol, Chlorphenesin, Mica, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides

My Opinion:

This is a translucent powder that I've been using to set my makeup, and I didn't really notice my pores disappearing after using it.

It did help slightly with oil control, but since this product is marketed to cover pores, it did not deliver.

However as a setting powder I've really liked it, it's very smooth, doesn't look powdery and it didn't cake. I think this is one of the best drugstore translucent/setting powder that I've tried so far.

My only complain is the case, the pan didn't really stay put in the case, if I turn over the case the pan will just fall out, and although I do not use the sponge (I prefer to apply it with a brush), I still have to keep the sponge in the case because if I close the case without it, the pan will just move around, and since I'm afraid that the powder might shatter, I had to leave the sponge in. I'm suspecting that I got a broken case because I've read a few reviews about this product but nobody seems to complaining about the case.

Majolica Majorca Skin Lingerie Pore Cover

Contents: 25g
Price: HK$115.00
Local of Purchase: Watsons

According to Sasa's webpage:

Majolica Majorca SPF20 PA+ Skin Lingerie Pore Cover has extremely silky texture in which you just need to apply a little (around 0.7mm) on your face, you can instantly refine all skin impurities and imperfections, like spots and acnes. A natural and perfect doll-like skin can be show! In applying the Majolica Majorca SPF20 PA+ Skin Lingerie Pore Cover, the soft and delicate powder gives your skin a comfort feeling. Tiny particles glide across the face and it protects you from the harmful UV light as it is SPF20 PA+.

My Opinion:

I've always have big pores, especially on the side of my nose, but recently they have become so obvious, and it has finally reached the stage where I can't stand them anymore.

We all know that you can't shrink the size of a pore, so I've been searching for something that would camouflage them.

Honestly, this was only an average primer, after application my pores were still very visible and I didn't notice much oil control.

The main reason why I got this blush was because I've read people comparing this with NARS Orgasm, well here's a swatch, and honestly I think they look very different....

Majolica Majorca Frozen Splash Eyes

Majolica Majorca Frozen Splash Eyes
Cream eyeshadow
HK$78 for 4g at Watson's

WT904 (WHITE)

(Top: PK705 pink Bottom:YE106 yellow Right:GD821 golden)

(Top:Golden Middle:Yellow Bottom: Pink)

I bought this hopping that it might substitute my paintpots, but unfortunately it doesn't work like that. These colors are very shimmery (too much for my taste) and the pigmentation is really poor, from the swatch you can't even differentiate the golden from the yellow, all you can see is a pack of shimmers....

I only use these stuff for the inner corner of my eyes, can't use it all over my lid.

Note: This cream shadows creases.
