Benefit Powderflage

Contents: 3.2g / 0.11oz
Price: US$28.00

According to Benefit's webpage:

Virtually weightless diffusing powder concealer camouflages fine lines and dark circles. It's fast, easy, lite and breezy! Since it does not absorb water it not only camouflages, but is a famous setting powder for the under eyes or face. Wear alone or apply over cream concealer to help it last longer. Accompanying "flager" brush applies exactly the right amount of silky pink powder. Includes step-by-step lesson.

Ingredients: talc, mica, silica, dimethicone, titanium dioxide, hdi/trimethylol/hexyllactone crosspolymer, vinyl dimethicone / methicone / silsesquioxane crosspolymer, dimethicone, vinyl dimethicone crospolymer, trimethylsiloxysilicate, ethylene / methacrylate copolymer, ultramarines, manganese violet, polymethyl, methacrylate, sodium dehydroacetate, methylparaben, propylparaben, isopropyl titanium triisolstearate, iron oxides, tin oxide, tocopherol, glycinre soja (soybean)oil, ascorbyl palmitate.

My Opinion:

This is a very finely milled pink powder that is supposed to brighten you undereye area. As you all know I have seriously dark genetic circles, and since I've finally learned that no skin care products will ever remove it, I've started to invest in products that will camouflage it.

I got this in 2008 and I only use it to set my under concealer, you only need a tiny bit of product, that's why I still have about half of it left.

Honestly I didn't notice any brightening effect and I don't think 3g of setting powder is worth US$28.00, I don't mind paying for something that works, but I think I'm going to stick with my BeautyMaker Bright Eye Pressed Powder, although it isn't as finely milled as Powderflage it does set my undereye concealer without settling.

My Opinion:

This lipstick is very creamy and watery, it has a sheen that's neither matte nor glossy. I find the texture to be very similiar to the Maybelline Water Shiny Volumy, and I think that the maybelline one might be dupe for this (I'll try to do a swatch of the two together later).

Directions
Gently pump a small amount onto the back of your hand. Apply 3 tiny dots under your eyes with fingertips and blend. Let set, then apply concealers & eyeshadows as usual.
Ingredients:
Water (Aqua), Isododecane, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Butylene Glycol, Bismuth Oxycholride (CI 77163), Isononyl Isononanoate, HDI/Trimethylol Hexyllactone Crosspolymer, Silica, Polygyceryl-4 Isostearate, Talc, Cetyl Peg/Ppg-10/1 Dimethicone, Hexyl Laurate, Sodium Chloride, Mica, Thibehenin, Peg-30 Dipolyhydroxystearate, Iron Oxieds (CI 77492, Sorbitan Oleate, Phenoxyethanol, Dimethicone, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Iron Oxides (CI 77491), Methicone, Propylene Carbonate, Iron Oxides (CI 77499), Tetrahexydecyl Ascorbate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Silica Dimethyl, Silylate, Isopropyl Titanium Triisostearate, Hexylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate.
My opinion:
I got this mainly for my under eye area (never used it as a eyelid primer), and although my concealer didn't crease and it seems to stay longer than usual, it made my under eye area really dry thus emphasizing my lines

Benefit Erase Paste

Contents: 4.40g / 0.15oz
Shade: 2 Medium
Price: HK$260

According to Benefit's webpage:

why we love it
This concentrated, creamy concealer brightens and camouflages in one easy step! Targets dark circles, discoloration and imperfections.
what else you need to know
Three shades with brightening melon undertones to suit every complexion.
Ingredients:
Petrolatum, Lanolin, Isopropyl Palmitate, Paraffin, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Tocopherol, Propylparaben, Retinyl Palmitate (+/-: Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499)).
My opinion:
Mid coverage and staying power, but it has obvious brightening effect. I think this concealer will only work for those with the occasional dark circles or wants to brighten up the orbital areal..., I'd prefer to use it to conceal my spots rather than my undereye area.

According to Benefit's webpage:

  • rose-tinted stain

How to apply:

Apply three dots to the apples of your cheeks and blend quickly with fingertips. Add a few more dots for deeper color

My Opinion:

I've already done a review on posietint, which is exactly the same as benetint, they only vary in shades. While posietint has more of pinkish tone, benetint just gives me the right amount of flush.

Benefit Posietint

Contents: 12.5ml / 0.42 us fl. oz.
Price: US$28

According to Benefit's webpage:
  • Poppy-pink tinted lip & cheek stain
  • Liquid-gel formula blends to just-picked perfection on all complexions and lasts for hours.

How to apply:
Brush three strokes on the apple of your cheek and blend quickly with fingertips. Do the same on your other cheek. Dot on lips & blend with fingertip. For a deeper "pop" of color, repeat.

My Opinion:
I love using cheek stains because it stays in place for the whole day, my only complain is when you apply it you have to work on it really fast, otherwise it will just "stain".
You can see from the last picture above that I didn't blend it imediately and it left a stain on my hand, it will stay like that no matter how I rub.

Benefit Realness of Concealness

BENEFIT - REALNESS OF CONCEALNESS
mini "fake it" kit

Kit contains:
ooh la lift 2.5g Net wt. 0.09 oz.
high beam 2.5g Net wt. 0.09 oz.
lip plump 2.5g Net wt. 0.09 oz.
lemon aid 1.0g Net wt. 0.03 oz. (top)
boi-ing 1.2g Net wt. 0.04 oz. (bottom)

This was actually my first Benefit product, and since then I fell in love with it...

Benefit's product aren't amazing, but they're so easy to use and fool proof that it's a life saver to have it in the morning when you only have a few minutes to get ready for work.
ooh la lift
  • instant under-eye brightening boost.
  • contains raspberry extracts and light-reflecting pigments to instantly perk up tired eyes.
  • can be applied on bare skin or over makeup.

High Beam
  • luminescent complexion enhancer
  • satiny pink liquid highlighter accents cheekbones and brow bones for a radiant glow.
  • looks perfectly radiant on all skintones.
  • can be used as a spot highlighter or delicately blended all over your complexion.
Lip Plump
  • primer for full sexy lip.
  • for full, sexy lips use lip plump before lipstick.
  • neutral-toned lip enhancer helps to smooth and fill in fine lines while building up the contour of the lips, making them appear fuller and younger.
  • contains jojoba oil, known to smooth and soften skin.
Lemon Aid (My all time favorite)
  • color correcting eyelid primer.
  • soft, lemon yellow cream helps to hide redness and discoloration on your eyelids.
  • in a snap, eyes look refreshed, frisky, and ready for fun.
  • can be worn with or without eye makeup.
  • One shade blends to perfection on every complexion
Boi-ing
  • industrial-strength concealer
  • camouflages dark circles, shadows and discoloration for a seamless, natural-looking finish without creasing or fading
  • in three shades to suit every skin tone (shade#2 medium comes in this kit)

I got this in benefitcosmetics.com for US$32.00, and apart of Boi-ing (which I find really dry), I love every single product in this kit. I've actually bought a full size of ooh la lift and lemon aid (I love this so much that I'm going to do an individual review for this).

I would definetly recommend this kit to makeup beginners or anyone who hasn't tried benefit's before.
