My Opinion:
I'll be honest, I got this because the NUFACE Trinity wasn't available locally, and since both gadgets uses micro current technology I though that this would be a good dupe.

I've only used this twice and decided that I hated it, the gel that came with the machine clogs pores, so I've tried substituting it with an aloe gel which I had to keep reapplying because once it dries it actually hurts.

The electric current is too strong, even in the lowest settings it feels uncomfortable. In conclusion, I hated this gadget

Etude House Hair Tools Bang Cut Kit

About 8 months ago I got some straight bangs and found that it requires alot of maintenance, I basically need to trim my bangs every 2 and a half week, and since I don't have that kind of time and money, I've decided to do it myself.

 

After going thru a bunch of youtube videos, I've decided to get this kit and started to trim my own bangs. First off, the scissors sucks, it's so blunt that it takes forever to trim my bangs, so I got rid of it, and gotten a pair of decent scissors.

 

My first attempt took me nearly half an hour to trim 1/2 inch, because after watching so many videos I've learnt that I shouldn't just cut my bangs straight across, but to nip it vertically. However, after a few cuts, I found this technique to be time consuming and I did what I should not, I've cut it straight across, and was left with blunt bangs.

 

Honestly, I kind of liked the final results and have been cutting it straight across every 3 weeks. I think I'll keep on cutting my hair until I'm tired of bangs and want to grow it out.

My Opinion:

I'm a really lazy person, so when it comes to washing my face, I really do need a gadget with a timer so that I would wash my face for a full minute.

I've been using the Clarisonic Plus daily, but even with the delicate brush head I could only use it once a day (usually in the evening), if I use more than that, my skin would be irritated.

I've got the Luna Mini, because I've read people comparing it with the clarisonic, and since the Luna doesn't needs to change a brush head every 3 months, I'll be saving US$88 per year.

I had the Luna for nearly 6 months, and I've concluded that it does cleanse your face properly and is not as irritating as the Clarisonic, I can use it both in the morning and evening without a problem, but it doesn't cleanse the neck and decollete area as well as the clarisonic.

When I finish washing my face, I always wipe it over with a toner and I noticed residue around my neck area, this might be due to the smaller brush head of the mini, so what I've been doing is washing my face with the luna in the morning and the clarisonic in the evening.

When I run out of brush heads for the clarisonic, I might consider getting a full size luna to confirm if it works better around the neck and decollete area.

Instyler

I was reading a magazine the other day and saw this article raving about the instyler and claiming that a lot of celebrities are using it.

After reading the article I'd remember that I got one last year and I left it in my gadget graveyard, err... I mean my storage box, and after some digging, here you go.

When I've first seen this video I  was amazed by the instyler, and got one straight away, but I don't remember why it went into the gadget graveyard, because I remember liking it.

 

After using it again today, I've finally remembered why it went to the graveyard, it took me nearly 20 minutes to straighten my hair, and I don't have that kind of time to do it every morning, I can easily straighten my hair with my vidal sassoon straightener in less than 5 minutes.

 

The final results between the instyler and a traditional straightening iron is very different, the traditional iron will give me pin straight hair while the instyler will give a more natural straight hair look, not pin straigh but still straight.

 

Apart from not having the time to use the instyler everyday, I've noticed that instyler drys out my hair more than a traditional straightening iron.

My Opinion:

 

I had my Clarisonic cleanser for 3 years and have been using it nearly everyday, so when I found out about the opal, I've decided to try it out.

My undereye area seems to be my major problem area, I have dry lines and wrinkles around it, but if I use anything that's too rich I'll get millia (not a good combo), so eye care product is something that I don't change often.

I've never used this with the anti-aging sea serum that came with the opal, but have been using it in conjunction with my Ultima II Extraordinaire Supreme Pure Collagen Eye Contour Reconstructing Treatment, which is a water based eye serum, I think that absorbtion has been improved, but other than that I didn't really notice much of a difference.

My Opinion:

I curl my hair nearly everyday, and since my hair is really dry and damaged, I'm very fuzzy about my curling iron.

 

I'm really sad to inform you all that so far I haven't found "the perfect curling iron", but in my searching progress I have accumulated a few, so I might as well start reviewing them.

 

I had this Babyliss curling iron for about 4 months and I though that this would be the one, it heats up really fast, it gives me the most beautiful VS style bouncy curls, and it never tugs on my hair.

 

I really though that the search was over, but after using it for 3 months, it has started to tug on my hair, and later on, the ceramic coat has started to shed. I no longer use it because I'm sick of picking up the white ceramic sheds from my hair and I think I'm going to toss it after this review.

Face Lift Belt

This product is made of silicone and it is suppose to lift your face, I got it mainly because I wanted to get rid of my double chin.

As to my opinion, I've left it at the loosest setting and I was still nearly suffocated, I'm seriously considering staying away from these gimmicky stuffs, they all look so cute but they hardly works...

Electric Tart Warmer

Some of my friends were asking me the other day, what Tart Wax Melts were, so in order to explain it better I've taken a few pictures of my tart warmer.

 

This is basically a light that will melt off your wax without flame, all you have to do is to place a tart (which is basically scented wax) and with the heat from the lamp the wax will melt thus releasing the scent.

 

I prefer electric tart warmers over traditional candles because I don't like the lingering scent of smoke when you blow off the candle.

My Opinion:

I got this after watching Ava Liu's youtube video, and she highly recommends it. This gadget differs slightly from your traditional blackhead extractor where you have a needle on one side and a loop on the other.

 

The most intriguing part about this product is the triangle side of the extractor, it really does a great job in removing all the gunk or blackheads from a precise spot, but the loop side was really flimsy.

Hope Girl My Face Designer

This is a battery operated makeup applicator, and according to the package, it vibrates 12,000 times per minute thus improving the finishing look.

 

This works with liquid foundations, BB creams and tinted moisturizers, but it doesn't work well with powders.

 

I usually start by doting foundation all over my face and blend it with this applicator instead of a brush, this gadget really does speeds up the application process, and is basically a no brainer, you won't have to worry about streaks or uneven application and the whole process won't take more than 1 minute.

 

Apart from using it to apply your makeup, it comes with a metallic head (last pic above) which works with your serum, you apply your serum over you skin and run this gadget over it, it's suppose to help your serum penetrate better into the skin.

 

This gadget comes with 3 sponges and 1 metallic head, you could remove the sponge and wash it, but you can't purchase them separately. I've been using mine for about a month (note that I don't use it everyday) and I wash my sponges about twice per week and they are still intact. I'll keep you updated how long these sponges lasts.
