How to apply: Apply 2-3 drops on cleansed skin. Gently press fingertips to cheeks, forehead, and chin to evenly distribute the application before gently massaging it into the skin. Can be worn alone or under moisturizer.

My Opinion:

 

I've recently came back from Korea, and my skin was peeling. I didn't know what happened, I know that Korea is alot dryer than HK, but I wasn't peeling while I was in Korea, but started to peel when I got home, weird....

 

Anyway, I've pull this out and have been using it for about a week and was still peeling. The peeling only stopped after I've used my beloved Laneige Water Sleeping Pack for 3 consecutive nights.

 

Although the Midnight Recovery Concentrate did not work in rescuing my peeling problem, it did work wonderfully when my skin is acting up. I must have mentioned before that my skin gets really sensitive when the climate changes, it turns red and itchy, and on those few occasion I've been using this product and it has successfully stabilize my skin.

 

Personally I love using facial oil, but so far, most of the facial oils that I've tried tends to clog my pores, so I was really surprise when I didn't have any problems with Kiehl's. Although I didn't see any major improvements on my skin texture after using this product, I'm glad that it stabilizes my skin, and I've been intercalating between this and my Alqvimia White Light - Whitening Facial Extract (an oil that really brightens my skin, but will clog pores if used everyday) and getting wonderful results.

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cleanser

Key Ingredients:

• Apricot Kernel Oil is extracted from apricot kernels and has a very high Vitamin E content (aiding fast absorption) and is a trygliceride composed of 75% oleic acid and 20% linoleic acid, and unsaturated fatty acids esterified with glycerin - similar to avocado oil and sesame oil. Found to be highly compatible with the skin. Apricot Kernel Oil moisturizes and softens skin while helping retain clarity and suppleness.
• Avocado Oil, derived from the fruit of a tropical American tree, is a rich, fatty-acid emollient. Avocado Oil is known to be the most moisturizing of any fruit oil. It is also a natural source of Amino Acid proteins, Vitamins A, D, E, and potassium. Helps to restore the natural moisture of the skin.
• Squalane is a healing botanical lipid with a high affinity for skin to instantly restore and replenish.

My Opinion:

I've only got a sample size of this product, but I guess that was enough for me to determine that I do not like it, but that' s just a personal preference, because I prefer foamy facial cleanser, while this a cleansing cream that does not lather.

Kiehl's Blue Astringent Herbal Lotion

Key Ingredients:

• Camphor is naturally derived from an eastern evergreen tree. It can give a cooling effect to the skin and is an effective treatment for oily skin.Menthol
• Menthol is a natural cooling agent, containing 50% peppermint or other mint oils, or made synthetically by hydrogenation of thymol. It is used in skin care to give a cooling effect to skin.
• Sodium PCA is a naturally occurring humectant in the skin, partly responsible for the skin's moisture-binding capacity. It is derived from amino acids and is highly water absorbing. Due to its moisture-binding ability, it is a high performance humectant which increases the skin's softness when added to products.

Direction for use:

Moisten a sterile cotton pad with toner, and apply to skin in areas where needed, avoiding the immediate eye area. Before applying, we recommend patch-testing a small amount of any cosmetic product on the inside skin of the wrist area to ascertain its compatibility with your skin

I had this for ages, and I still got half a bottle of it left because this astringent is really strong and it dries out everything. Even though I have combo skin, I only use it around my chin area where I'm prone to break out.
