Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 - Oil Free
Shade: Nude
Contents: 1.7 oz
Local of Purchase: Sephora
Price: US$42.00
According to Sephora's webpage:
What it is:
A perfect blend of skincare and makeup that helps control oil-breakthrough and gives skin a sheer hint of color for a healthy, natural glow.
What it does:
This lightweight formula provides ideal protection from the sun’s harmful, damaging rays with broad spectrum SPF 20 UVB/UVA sunscreen. It also controls oil-breakthrough with hydration to prevent dryness and soften and ease fine, dry lines. An antioxidant complex of vitamins C and E acts as a free radical scavenger to protect the skin from even the most aggressive effects of the environment, all while extremely long-wearing color stays true and wears evenly in a natural, semi-matte finish. Non-comedogenic and dermatologist- and allergy-tested to minimize the risk of irritation, it is perfect for all skin types, including sensitive ones.
Ingredients: Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Ethylhexyl Salicylate. Water (Aqua), Disiloxane, PEG -30 Dipolyhydroxystearate, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Glycerin, Isohexadecane, Cyclopentasiloxane, Phenoxyethanol, Boron Nitride, Jojoba Esters, Magnesium Stearate, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Squalane, Laryl PCA, Tocopheryl Acetate, Tetradibutyl Pentaerithrityl Hydroxyhydrocinnammate, Isopropyl Titanium Triisostearrate, Disodium Edta, PPG-15, Stearyl Ether, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizinate, Methylparaben, Propylparaben. (May Contain) +/-: Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxide (CI 77492), Iron Oxide (CI 77491), Iron Oxide (CI 77499).
My Opinion:
I've initially wanted to get the regular tinted moisturizer in which I've read a ton of raves, but when I was at the store, I've noticed that they had an oil free version, so I've decided to get this instead.
I've never tried the original formula, so I can't compare it, but this oil free version is just a light weight tinted moisturizer with really low coverage that didn't vow me.
I always try out new bases (foundation, bb or cc creams) during the weekend, because I don't want to look like a grease ball or a oompa loompa at work, and I had to admit that I've only been wearing this during weekends, because I need a bit more coverage to be confident enough at work...
I think this would be good for the weekend, or when my skin is looking really good (which isn't happening right now) but I think I'll pass, I need more coverage....

My Opinion:
I know that it's officially Summer, because my foundation won't stay put, is meltting and sliding all over the place, and during summer I usually stick with either BB creams or mineral foundations, but for this year, my skin is unusually dry and I wanted to try a tinted moisturizer (even though I've never liked it).
I've decided to give Aveeno's tinted moisturizer a try because I've really liked the Aveeno Clear Complexion Daily Moisturizer, but sadly this tinted moisturizer didn't work for me, initially the shade was slightly too dark, but since I do get darker in the summer, I thought that it might work later. However as the day progresses I've noticed that this product oxidizes pretty badly and there was no way that I'll use it again.
Update 22nd September 2013:
I've really tanned this summer, so recently I got this out again to try, although it's still slightly too dark for me, I was able to pull thru.
As a tinted moisturizer the coverage was pretty good, but even on top of a oil control primer, it left my T zone really oily after about 2 hours.

By Terry Eclat de Rose Sheer Tinted Moisturizer
Contents: 40ml / 1.35 fl oz
Shade: 2 Natural
Price: HK$835.00
Local of Purchase: Joyce Beauty
According to By Terry's webpage:
Description:
This antioxidant tinted care combines a high concentration of skincare active ingredients with a dash of color to provide optimum correction, a fresh and even complexion and long-lasting nude radiance.
Its incredibly comfortable multi-active formula nourishes, regenerates and energizes the skin, while protecting its youthful reserves and reinforcing its self-defense abilities. The complexion is perfectly even, smooth and filled in, with a wonderfully translucent finish. THE Must-Have for a flawless foundation-free complexion!
Direction to use:
Every morning, on bare skin or onto a specific skincare, apply on face and neck previously cleansed, directly with fingertips or with foundation brush PRECISION 6. Start from T-zone and blend towards the contours.
Can be used under foundation.
The core of the formula:
A cast of Roses always chosen for their extraordinary scientific properties:
- Musk Rose extracts, combined with the TOTAL FORCE complex rich in essential fatty acids, facilitate tissue regeneration and maintain the moisture levels for firmer, more supple and plumper skin.
- Rosa Canina extracts, rich in antioxidant flavonoids, provide potent protection.
- Rosamine, a floral pigment obtained from micronized rose petals, gives an "instant healthy glow" effect.
My Opinion:
This is the most expensive tinted moisturizer that I've ever purchase, and I definetly don't think is worth it.
I usually prefer something lighter during the hot summer days, and got this mainly to even out my skin tone, I wasn't expecting it to have much coverage, but was really surprise when I found out that it has got zero coverage, it felt more like a moisturizer rather than something tinted.
I've been using this to sheer out my thicker foundations, in other words mixing my own tinted moisturizer with a tinted moisturizer, I know this sounds really silly, but this product was so expensive that I was determined to finish it off.

My Opinion:
I'm a huge fan of the Olay Total Effects moisturizer, and when I saw the comercial for the tinted moisturizer several months ago, I was really tempted to get it, but since I still have a bunch of BB creams and tinted moisturizer that I needed to finish, I didn't get it immediately.
Recently, they were having a discount at Manning's and I just gave in and got it, unfortunately, this does not compare to the moisturizer at all. Don't get me wrong, it's the same moisturizer, but the tint is just a nightmare, even though I've set it with powder, it still transfers badly (when I look at my phone it just grosses me out).
