My opinion:

Back in the days, when I've first started with makeup I've really liked Biotherm, but as a was branching out alternatives, I've totally forgotten about them.

Recently I found this being discounted at SASA (they usually retail for HK$350), so I've decided to give this a shot.

This is a blue tone primer/sunscreen which is suppose to brighten up your complexion, and it didn't work for me, because it broke me out. I've tried it a couple of times and always ended with a huge zit.

My Opinion:

 

I've started this tube during the summer but found it too heavy, so I've waited till fall to try this out again, and I'm about two thirds down. I'm ready to declare that I've really liked it.

This has a mousy texture that spreads easily on the skin and it feels really hydrated (no wonder I didn't liked it for the summer). This does not feel like your usual sunscreen, it doesn't leave a film behind and it reminds me of a hydrating primer.

Although I've claimed that I do not intend to review samples on a monthly basis, I've recently found out that I had a drawer full of samples and I really do need to use them up. I though I might as well document it so that I can consult my blog on my next shopping trip.

 

Rodial Glamoxy Snake Serum - £127.00 / 25ml

I was skeptical about snake serums, but I was also skeptical about snail skincare products, and now they are basically part of my daily beauty regime.

I've tried this twice and fell in love with the scent, it's the best citrusy scent that I've ever smell, but the product itself didn't really do much for me. I went to check out the rating for this product on makeupalley and it was pretty low, and since this product appears to be really expensive (retails for 127 pounds) I think I'll just skip it, but I might try out the Korean version which seems to be alot more affordable. 

 

L'oreal Revitalift White Advanced Anti-Wrinkle & Spot Corrector Day Cream SPF18 - HK$189/50ml

Although this is a day cream, it feels really thick and heavy on the skin, I've been applying a really thin layer and it stills feels heavy.

 

 

La Roche Posay Uvidea XL Cream Procelain SPF50 - HK$280/30ml

Another product that feels super heavy on the skin, but I found that there is a lighter version, so I might want to try that next.

 

Swiss Program Caviar Lifting Eye Contour Cream - HK$747/15ml

The lady at SASA was really generous by giving me 5 packets of this product which amounts to 10ml of products, unfortunately this didn't work for me, after using it only twice I've started to develop milia underneath my eyes, so I've stopped using it immediately.

Crabtree and Evelyn La Source Body Lotion - HK$225/8.5fl oz

I had several tubes of this product, because it was included in the bathroom amenities of the hotel that I've stayed on my last trip. This is a really light lotion, and I think it'll only work for someone with really oily skin, it feels very watery and it gets absorbed almost instantly. This wasn't moisturizing enough for me.

ROC Multi-Correxion Anti-Age Moisturiser - HK$400/50ml

It appears that most of the skincare products that I've tried this month were all too heavy for my taste, and this is another product that felt heavy, and it left my skin shiny.

My Opinion:

 

I've always used mentholatum sunscreen for my body, but recently it felt kind of dry and I guess that is the consequences of aging....

 

I've picked up the Biore Aqua Rich because it's a water based suncsreen and it claims to be really hydrating.

 

This sunscreen has a thicker texture than my usual sunscreen which are all very watery, but it does gets absorb almost instantly and it doesn't leave any film behind.

 

Honestly I didn't really find this sunscreen to be better hydrated than my mentholatum, and just like the others, it does clog pores, I've been getting all this bumps on my arms, and although it's not anything serious,  and I can easily get rid of it with a few more body exfoliation, I don't think I'll be repurchasing,

My Opinion:

This is the last item that I've modified from my skin care regime, although I still like my Biore UV Perfect Face Milk, I found it to be too drying and after waching makeupgeek 's video I've decided to get this.

 

This sunscreen is very light and once absorbed I can't really feel it, unlike most of the other sunscreens that I've tried, it doesn't leave a film behind and it doesn't make me oily.

My Opinion:

 

I think this sunscreen is only available in Asia, because I was unable to find it in the Lancome's US or UK webpage.

 

I got this during the summer and it was too greasy for me, and during the winter I'd usually prefer something lighther with SPF30, so this was left in my beauty graveyard.

 

Recently I had my first IPL (intensed pulse light), and my skin was left really dry, and after IPL you really need to wear a high SPF sunscreen for atleast 2 weeks, so this little gem finally got the opportunity to move out of the graveyard.

 

I've finally found a way to use up this product, but I don't think I'll be repurchasing.

My Opinion:

At the beginning of this summer I was hunting for a High SPF sunscreen, and after some serious googling, I've decided that I want Biore, and I was seriously surprised when I found out that this product isn't available in Hong Kong....

 

It took me 2 months to locate this product (my hubby got it for me at Watson's in China), and in the meantime I've been using other sunscreens that I've never been fully satisfied.

 

This really is a life changing product for myself, it has reduced about 50% of my oil secretion, and I really can't imagine a summer without it. Together with my skindinavia, I didn't even have to blot my face throughout the day.

 

My major problem now is where to get this product when I'm done with my bottle, there's only 30 ml of products in a bottle and I've been really saving it for the hot humid days.

Update 1 October 2013: This product has finally landed in HK and you can get find it nearly everywhere now.

My Opinion:

Mentolathum Sunplay Water and Sport SPF130 PA+++ has always been my favorite summer body sunscreen, until recently I've found a bottle of watery cool in my mother's bathroom and tried it out. OMG, it must have been love at first use, I've tried that out on a hot summer day, and it felt so cool and light.

Although I still like my SPF130 for outdoor activities, I've switch to watery cool for everyday.

My Opinion:

This is my third bottle and I never had problems with it, but that is because I've only been using it during the winter and have never actually try it during the hot summer days.

It was a disaster to use this during the summer, my face was a grease ball by 10 in the morning, and it took me nearly a week to figure out which product was causing the problem. I guess I'll just keep this for the winter.

My Opinion:

ampm (a product from Taiwan) has recently landed in HK, and I've wanted to try out some of their skincare products. I've picked up a few items right before X'mas and have been using this sunblock since December.

The reason for picking this product was because it claims to be a pure physical sunscreen, and not knowing what it was I've decided to try it out.

Before writting this article, I've google for physical sunscreen, and finally realize that most of my previous sunscreen were all physical...., and I'm feeling kind of dumb, for getting something that I've always been using....., but if you are interested, most of the sunscreen that contains titanium dioxide and zinc oxide are physical sunscreen, they tend to deflect the sun rays, while chemical sunscreen will absorb the sun rays.

Now back to the product, this sunscreen is thick and it does leave a white cast, which is consistent with most of the physcial sunscreen, while most of the chemical suncreen tend to have a runnier texture.

Although this sunscreen does have a thick texture, it didn't leave my skin oilier than usual, but I think I would prefer a chemical sunscreen for the summer.

都差不多用完一支，而我對這支防曬的平價亦非常之高，因為一般高防曬度的防曬都會令我塊面變油，但這支防曬很清爽，而且用後塊面不會變白。

My Opinion:

I've tried a bunch of sunscreens, and I always come back to this product, especially for outdoor activities. I've used something else during my last trip to Thailand and I've gone from NC25 to NC35 within one week....

This product comes out very watery and dries into a powdery finish (not oily or greasy at all), the only reason why I'm not using it on a daily basis is because it does clog pores and it leaves a white cast on your skin. I've been using it mainly on my body, and I have to exfoliate my body more than usual (at least twice a week) if I've been using this frequently.

我的意見：

試過無數個品牌的防曬，但最後總會買回這支曼秀雷敦。上次去泰用了其他品牌的防曬，回來後，膚色由原來的NC25變為NC35.....

這支防曬質地好稀，一點都不油，但乾後會留有一層白色粉末。雖然很喜歡這支防曬但通常都只會於戶外活動時使用，因為這支防曬是會阻塞毛孔的，如果經常使用，要記得為皮膚勤做磨沙。

My Opinion:

I've initially wanted to get the UV Moisture Gel, but since I was in a hurry, picked the wrong bottle....

I was actually expecting a gel formula, so you could imagine how surprise I was when this came out in a lotion formula. It takes about a minute for this product to be absorbed and it doesn't leave my skin sticky, but I didn't find it moisturizing at all....

I've been using this mainly on my body, and I'm sorry to say that this was a huge dissapointment. I've recently finished the bottle and I've noticed that I've turned several shades darker, but I wasn't even out in the sun....

我的意見：

原先打算買水薄防曬露的，但因為趕時間就拿錯了這瓶....

一打開就更驚訝，個瓶明明寫著gel，按後才發現變成乳霜，還好塗後不怕黏，可惜除了不黏外這支防曬真的沒有什麼直得讚。

我主要把這支防曬塗於手和腳，已經用完一支，發現皮膚曬黑了很多，但我根本就沒有去過曬太陽，只是每天上下班时間才見過太陽，為何這樣也會曬點？？？？？

My Opinion:

I've recently read alot of raves about the Za sunscreen, and while I was at the counter I was sucked in by this product, it's actually a primer with SPF30, and being always late in the morning I though I could skip a step by using this product.

This primer has some shimmery particles (not chunky, something like photoready foundation), and it's suppose to give your skin a dewy look, but since I have oilier skin during summer, this left my skin greasy. I think I'll try it again during winter.

我的意見：

最近見好多人都大讚ZA的防曬所以就去counter試吓，點知就比這支妝前底霜吸引注，一支底霜兩個功能（包括防曬），對於我這種懶人實在太吸引。

這支底霜擁有珠光粒子，會令皮膚好有光澤。可借小妹夏天皮膚比較油，所以不適合使用。我張會於冬天再試這支低霜...

My Opinion:

This is basically a powder sunblock, and I like to use it as a finishing powder. I've read some people complaining about the color (this only comes in pink), but I found that using a pink powder it brightens up my complexion. I didn't notice any oil controlling effect...
