February 2010 Favorites
This is going to be a really short article because:
- I've already written an individual review for most of these products,
- Because of the climate, I'm suffering from several skin issues, namely dryness and breakouts, thus not daring to try out new stuffs.
Here are my February favorites:
From Left to Right:
- Ultima II - Immediate Rescue Stick - this does nothing to existing blemishes, but it does prevent it from getting worse (already did a review on this, go check it out)
- Jason Natural - Jojoba Pure Beauty Oil - as I was saying, I'm suffering from dryness, therefore, twice daily I mix 2 drop of these with my daily moisturizer and it seems to calm downy my skin.
- Max Factor Miracle Touch Liquid Illusion Foundation - already did a review on this
- Mandon Beauty Barrier Repair Baby Moist Base - I can't use the Max Factor Foundation without a really hydrating primer, and this is the most hydrating primer that I have, the results of these 2 together is impeccable (already did a review on this, go check it out)
- Tarte Cheek Stain (in Tipsy) - great blusher for dry weather and it's really easy to use. I used to love Benetint, but this is far more easier to work with.

January 2010 Favorite
Another month has been gone and here's my January's Favorite List of products:
- Maybelline Pure Makeup - I've been breaking out AGAIN, and I needed a higher coverage foundation. I had this in shade Light 3, and the coverage is so good that I don't even need a concealer for my pores and acne marks.
- The Body Shop Shimmer Waves - I use this on top of all my matte blushes for the glow
- Pot of gold - I've been using a sample size last month, and it was so good that I've already got a full size tube. Stay tuned because I'm going to do a individual review for this.
- Kanebo Coffret D'or Loose Powder - I've been using this to set both my foundation and undereye concealer, whatever that I have been using before was starting to look powdery on me (most probably because of the dry climate), this was the only powder that I had that didn't look cakey.
- Eve Pearl Salmon Concealer - I've started to use this in January, and have been using it for nearly a month, I'm still loving it, but as I've suspected the staying power is not as good as I've hoped, 5 hours max and I've to reapply it again... I already did a review on this, go check it out.
- Laura Mercier Secret Concealer (No.2) - It was on my favorite list since last month, I keep on using it because I'm trying to finish it off and I've already hit pan, I think this would be gone by next month...

December Favorite
I'm a very volatile person, so my favorites changes all the time, but for the month of December I've been reaching out the most for these product:

- Pot of Gold (is the tube without the lid). I've got this way back in the summer and found it too greasy, so I've just toss it around. But for the month of December it has been really dry and I've been breaking out alot lately. I've tried everyting (hydrating serum, mask, hyaluronic acid.....) but nothing seems to work until I've rediscoverd this. After using this for about a week, my face started to clearing up, my pores looks smaller and skin looks brighter. I love it.
- Missha M Visual MakeUp Base (in green) - As I was saying, I was breaking out, and I needed a green base to tone down the redness, and this was the only green base that I had. It has SFP17 and PA+, it does the work, but it washes me out, that's why I usually only reach for this when I break out.....
- Skin Food Aloe Sun BB Cream (No.1) - I had this in the summer, and it was too light then, but now that we are in the winter I can make it work. It is a light coverage BB Cream with SPF20 PA+. I don't feel confortable wearing this on its own (not enough coverage), but together with the Missha Base and Mac MSF it's just perfect for my casual days.
- Laura Mercier Secret Concealer (No.2) - Medium coverage, very creamy, and it doesn't cake, but it has a low staying power. I apply it in the morning and is usually gone by lunch time. (I had this for quite some time, so I have to finish it off).
- Benefit Powderflage - It's a light-diffusing powder concealer for under eyes. I had it for quite some time, but never really used it. After watching MakeupByTiffany rave about it in You Tube, I thought about giving it another try. I only use it to set my undereye concealer.
- Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Natural (Medium) - I use this to set all my liquid foundation, with this you could never overdo.
- Nars Deep Throat - This didn't really work for me in the summer (which I'd prefer Orgasm), but in winter this just look amazing, is just a beautiful natural flush.
- Tri-Aktiline Instant Deep Wrinkle Filler - This is not only my December favorite, but actually my all time favorite. I had trouble using this at the beginning (all my undereye makeup looks cakey on top of this), but after some research on the net, I found out that a pea size should be enough for both eyes, and the trick is to pad it in (never rub), let it sink for a minute before you anything else. Everything that's applied on top of it needs to be padded in, NEVER RUB. Followin this rule, your undereye makeup should look smoother.
