Shu Uemura Nobara Cream Cover Stick

Shade: 564
Contents: 11g / 0.38oz
Price: HK$290.00

According to Shu Uemura's webpage:

A new stick version of shu uemura's cult favorite, Nobara Cream Foundation, formulated to give the instant high coverage of a concealer with the smooth glide of a foundation.

Ingredients: dimethicone neopentyl glycol dicaprate isotridecyl isononanoate synthetic wax ceresin talc diisostearyl malate sorbitan sesquioleate phytosteryl/octyldodecyl lauroyl glutamate alumina aluminum hydroxide tocopherol canola oil [+/- may contain ci 77891 / titanium dioxide ci 77491, ci 77499, ci 77492 / iron oxides mica]

My Opinion:

While I was researching for this product I came across Karla Sugar's blog and got some interesting info about the numeration of Shu's foundation:

The first digit tells you how pink or yellow the foundation is: 1 is the most pink; 9 is the most yellow; 5 is neutral. The second digit goes from black to white. A second digit of 0 has the most black/is the darkest; a second digit of 9 is the lightest. The third digit tells you chroma — whether the undertone of the foundation is blue or violet)

Back to the product, personally I love stick foundation, because it's super convenient and easy to travel with, however, most of them tend to be pretty dry. After reading lots of raves about Nobara I got one to try out, and personally I still think that this is kind of dry, but definetly better than the others stick foundation that I've tried.

What I've been doing it layering this on top of my By Terry Eclat de Rose Sheer Tinted Moisturizer (which provides 0 coverage, but I have every intention to finish the tube because it has costs me lots of $$$). I don't use this all over my face, only in trouble areas (i.e. center of my face), and have been loving the results.

My only advise is not to apply this under your eyes, because it will dry out your under eye area and all the lines will just show thru (not an attractive look).

Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler

Price: HKD100.00

My Opinion:

I've tried a bunch of different lash curler, and they all seems to curl my lashes, but after reading so many raves about the shu lash curler, I though that I should give it a try.

This lash curler seems to curl my lashes like my shiseido, and I seriously didn't notice much of a difference, but I remember reading somewhere that the shiseido lash curler fits almond shape eyes better, while the shu lash curler fits round eyes better.

價錢:HKD100.00

Shu Uemura Satin Radiant Stick Blush Color

Contents: 10g
Shade: This only comes in one shade
Price: HK$250

Ingredients: Dimethicone, neopentyl Glycol, Dicaprate, Isotridecyl, Isonomamoate, Sunthetic Wax, Ceresin, Diisostearyl Malate, Silica, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Phytosteryl/Octydodecyl Lauroyl Glutamate, Talc, Dimethicone/Methicone Copolymer, Alumina, Aluminum Hydroxide, Canola Oil, Tocopherol (+/- May contain: CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499 / Iron Oxides, CI 77891 / Titanium Dioxice, Mica)

My Opinion:
I love cream blushes, and have been searching for the perfect cream blush for a while until I came across this several months ago.

I was searching for some info for this post and found out that this product came out with the 2010 spring collection and it was suppose to be a limited edition item. I guess I was lucky to have found it in the counter before X'mas, but the sales lady told me that was the last one left

I've swatch it and thought that it was ok, and wasn't too impressed, left the counter and went on with my business. After several hours while at home I was looking at the swatch and it was just amazing, it was a beautiful baby pink with a gorgeous sheen. I was staring at it and actually made a note to remind myself to get it the next day.

Shu Uemura Sweet Lip Gloss

Contents: 13g
Price: HK$150 @
Shade: Orchid Candy

Shade: Rose Candy

My Opinion:
This is the older version of the Sweet Lip Gloss, the new version comes with a metallic top.

Whenever I see these 2 tubes of lip glosses I always wonder If I was mad to pay HKD$300 for it....
I mean I don't usually pay that much for a lipgloss, I've always gone for drugstore brands, and my favorite are NYX and revlon.

OK, back to Shu Uemura, I actually thought that these glosses were really good, they are very shiny but not sticky at all. They last longer than my nyx glosses, but unfortunatley I don't like the applicator, I prefer glosses in a wand.

Shu Uemura Cream Eye Shadow

Shu Uemura Cream Eye Shadow
US$30 for 5g or 0.17oz
9 shades

BEIGE
This is a pearly finish flesh color cream shadow without shimmers.

Brown P Taupe

This is a pearly finish taupish color without shimmers.

According to Shu Uemura's webpage:

CREAM EYE SHADOW
The unique formula can be layered with Pressed Eye Shadow for a textured, high-impact look, applied alone for a smooth, natural finish, or blended with another shade. 9 blendable and buildable shades in two textures: MATTE: Specially selected shades by specific function for artistic needs - light & shadow control, hue and complexion control. PEARL: Light neutral shades with pearly effect, perfect for base and for usage with Pressed Eye Shadow. Silicone oils provide a comfortable glide. Long-wearing and non-creasing.
Amongst all my cream shadows these are the most expensive, but they are definetly worth its price, because they are pigmented and the only cream shadow that I have ever used that do not creases. I prefer to use this as a eye primer, because it does prevent your shadows from creasing.
