My Opinion:

Every now and then my skin will break out really badly, and several years ago when Proactiv was launched in HK, I got the PA solution kit to try out.

 

This kit came with a cleanser, toner, moisturizer and this mask. I've never reviewed this kit before because I've only used it twice and end up gaving it away. The whole set together was just toooooo drying for my skin, I was flaking all over.

 

The only item from the kit that I've kept was the Refining mask, this is actually a sulfur mask which really helps in controlling oil, but please bear in mind that it smells awful.

 

Although I've really liked this mask, I don't think I'll be repurchasing, because I was told that acnefree does have a sulfur mask that works in exactly the same way but is a lot cheaper. I think that's what I'm going to try next. 

Sasatinnie Swallow's Nest Rejuvenation Mask

My Opinion:

 

This is my third box of Sasatinnie paper mask, and I think I still have another box of back up, but when I'm done with my last box I don't think I'll be repurchasing.

 

I've initially really liked these paper masks, but I think other drugstores paper masks has really improved during the last couple of years while Sasatinnie has remained the same....

 

Another issue that I had with the Sasatinnie's paper mask is their ingredients list, although each box claims a different purpose, I've noticed that their ingredients lists were exactly the same, at least the ones that I have purchased before share the same ingredients list.

I mean how could they claim different results while the ingredients were exactly the same....

My Opinion:

 

My skin has not been behaving for the last few months, to be exact, it has started to freak out since fall, but I guess I should have been used to it, because this pattern has been repeating for several years....

 

I think I need to be a bit more precise when I say my skin is freaking out, it means that is dry, red and prone to break outs. None of my usual face masks seems to be working until I found this tea tree masks which seems to provide a decent amount of hydration, tones down my redness and it doesn't irritates my break outs.

 

This isn't a miracle product, but is working, and I guess I'll be using it until something's better comes up, any recommendations?

My Opinion:

 

Back in 2011 I've first tried Sasatinnie's paper mask, and remember liking it, but it's been awhile since I've used them, and with the climate being really dry, I've picked up another box to pamper myself.

 

Since 2011, I've tried several different paper masks, and I think that Sasatinnie's paper masks doesn't meet my expectations anymore, although I've really liked the idea of these tiny hooks to lift up my chin, I think that Sexy Look paper masks are alot more hydrating than Sasatinnie. I've left these on for about 20 minutes and the mask has almost dry out, definetly not hydrating enought. I've still have another box of backup, but I think that when I'm done with it, won't be repurchasing

My Opinion:

I've always favored paper masks, but recently have been reading alot of raves on gel masks, so when I saw these being discounted at my local Mannings I got a few to try out.

Although these masks claims different purposes, when I've tried them out I didn't really notice too much of a difference, and when I've looked into their ingredients list, I've noticed that the top 6 ingredients were all identical, so no wonder I didn't notice any difference after using it.

 

Don't get me wrong, I found these masks to be really hydrating and I really liked them, but apart from hydrating I didn't really notice any of the other claims, i.e. brightening and pores tightening, so if you are looking for hydrating mask, I would definetly recommend these, but otherwise look elsewhere.

My Opinion:

 

I had this ages ago, and I think the texture has changed, I remember it was supposed to be creamy, but is watery now, so it needs to go into the bin, but I need to review it before tossing.

 

This mask does instantly whitens your skin, but the effect is only for several hours, and I've noticed that it dries out my skin (something unusual for a mask), so I've stopped using it even before it came up on the news that it contains hydrogen peroxide, this was left at the back of my cabinet and I've totally forgotten about it.

 

Although TonyMoly claims that this product has been reformulated and it no longer contains hydrogen peroxide, I don't think I'll be repurchasing, because I've previously tried their Ice Queen Snow White Sleeping Cream and I didn't like it either, perhaps their masks are just not for me.

My Opinion:

 

I've been using bubble mask 2-3 times per week after I've removed my makeup and washed my face. With this extra step my skin appears to be less oily, but since I've tried innisfree O2 pore mask pack before, and both products seems to do exactly the same thing and innisfree price is about half the price of Zino, I think I'll stick with innisfree.

My Opinion:
I think I have mentioned in my last week posts that my skin was dry and freaking out. Since I had a really busy week I didn't had time for masks, that's why I always have several sleeping masks at home, hoping that I could hydrate my skin while sleeping, unfortunately this product didn't help.

I've used this for 3 consecutive nights and my skin was still dry, I might try this again later when my skin is back to normal, but if is an emergency situation where you need a instant boost of hydration, I wouldn't rely on this product.

My Opinion:

I've notice people mentioning this product about 6 months ago, but when I've tried it in the store, I couldn't justify the purchase, it was nearly HK$600 for a really tiny jar.

Recently I've noticed alot of clog pores and none of my usual cleansing masks seems to be working, so I finally I gave in and decided to try it.

After one use I was like glowing, and it is definetly the best cleansing mask that I've ever tried.

After using other cleansing masks, I'd normaly have to go over my problem areas with a black head extractor, but after using this product there was nothing for me to extract (only the occasional spot) , my skin was baby butt smooth.

Apart from clearing your pores, this product exfoliates as well, althought it's expensive I think is worth every penny.

Now I'm tempted to try the one in the black jar as well.

My Opinion:

 

Recently the weather has been super humid, daily humidity has never been lower than 90 (celcius), and my skin has been freaking out.

 

I seriously don't understand how come my skin could be so dry (flaking) with such high humidity???

 

I've tried everything, hyalluronic acid, serum, masks... but I could still see my face cracking, and I don't even have dry skin!!!!

 

Anyway, I found this product at the bottom of my drawer and it was about to expire, so I gave it a go. This is a sleeping mask (something that you put on before you go to bed and rinse it off in the morning), and after applying it I felt a mild sting, but that went away after a couple of minutes. In the next morning my skin wasn't flaking anymore, but it was still dry. I've continued using it, and on the third day it didn't sting anymore, and after about a week my skin was back to normal, i.e. greasy.

Although this masks claims to have whitening properties I didn't notice, but it was great in terms of hydration.

My Opinion:
This mask is different from your usual sheet mask because it wraps around your chin and it has these hooks for you to hook into your ears, with the purpose to lift your face and chin.

I've initialy though that the hooks were just gimmicks, but after finishing my first box, I've actually liked it. I'm not sure about the lifting and firming effect, but at least it does provide extra hydration for my chin and upper neck.

My Opinion:

I'm a huge fan of the mint julep mask, and when I found out that Queen Helene has another cleansing mask, I just had to try it.

In terms of cleansing I found this mask to be very mild and less drying than my favorite mint julep mask, and after rinsing it off it did brighten up my skintone.

I still prefer the mint julep mask over this one, but if you are someone with dry skin, this might be better suited.

My Opinion:

This is my favortie cleansing mask, and I don't remember how many bottles I've already went thru, but I always have a tube around.

This mask comes out like a gel (infuse with charcoals) and dries into a film that you are suppose to peel it off. I love that it's in black and I can actually see all the gunks that's been plugged out.

 

I think this mask is really good for someone with very oily skin (that's me), because it does remove all oils and gunks from your pores, but if you have dry/sensitive skin forget about it.

 

The down side of this product, is when you try to peel it off, it really hurts, apart from removing all the gunks, it actually removes facial hairs and dead skin as well, but since I've already got used to it, it doesn't really bothers me.

 

Before this product I've been using Seikisho Mask White, and I think this is a very good dupe. I've noticed that with Daiso Natural Pack you need a lot more product, and the drying time is alot longer than Seikisho, but since Seikisho retails for HK$212, I'm willing to overlook.

My Opinion:

 

I've always been a fan of Laneige Sleeping Pack, but recently I've wanted to try something new, so I went out and got a few different sleeping packs to try. The first one that caught my eyes was this product, it has the cutest container that I have ever seen, but apart from the container I didn't find anything to rave about it.

The hydration effect was only average, and I did not notice any whitening/brightening effect after using it, and most importantly the scent was just yucky, it reminds me of humidity and mold....

How to use

My Opinion:

This is my all time favorite hydrating mask that has never fail me. My skin gets really sensitive whenever the season changes and this is the only product that works for me, it really hydrates and stabilizes my skin. Whenever my skin is acting up, I'll just use this all over my face (even around my eyes) and leave it on for as long as possible. I'll only tissue off any excess before I go to bed and I usually wake up with normal skin.

 

I've recently had my first IPL (Intense pulsed light), and for the first week I've only use this product in the evening, I've tried using other products, but everything seems to burn my skin and this was the only product that worked for me.
