Physicians Formula Eyebrightener Multi-Colored Eyelighter

Shade: Classic Eyelight
Contents: 0.07oz / 2g
Price: US$6.39
Local of Purchase: drugstore.com

According to drugstore.com:

Brightens dark or dull eyelid area with subtle hints of pearlescent color for a natural-looking finish.
  • Can be used on all skin types
  • Includes mirror & brush applicator
  • Hypoallergenic & fragrance free
  • Dermatologist approved
  • Safe for sensitive eyes & contact lens wearers

Come out of the shadows and into the light!
Accentuate and brighten your eyes with illumination instead of traditional shadowing! Brighten dark-looking eyelids with the discreet use of corrective colors for instant, natural brilliance. This unique "eyelighter" is an original impressionistic composition of colors designed to catch the light and radiate a soft glow. It's the easiest way to enhance your eyes with a simple sweep of a brush!
Ingredients: Mica, Talc, Octyldodecyl Stearoyl Stearate, Nylon 12, Bis Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate 2, Cetyl Dimethicone, Lauroyl Lysine, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, May Contain (+/-): Iron Oxides, Ultramarines, Manganese Violet, Yellow 5 Aluminum Lake

My Opinion:

I think the name of this product is just spot on, "eyelighter", a highlighter for your lids. Although it looks like an eyeshadow, it does not have much pigmentation, only a sheen, and it works pretty well in brightening your lids.

I do like this product, but I still prefer Benefit Lemon Aid over this, because it's matte and I can wear it alone without makeup and it wouldn't look too obvious.

Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Correcting Powder

Contents: 0.29 oz/8.2g
Shade: Translucent 7037
Price: US$13.99
Local of Purchase: Ulta

According to Ulta's webpage:

Versatile powder color corrects the most common skin imperfections, smoothes skin texture and evens out skin tone. All colors blend together to create a perfect canvas finish: Pink brightens, Green tones down redness and Yellow adds warmth. High-tech Japanese formula delivers a natural-looking finish that won't cake, crease or settle into fine lines.
Hypoallergenic. Fragrance Free. Paraben Free. Dermatologist Approved. Non-Comedogenic.

How to Use:

May be worn alone or over makeup. Brush on powder evenly over face and neck to even out skin tone with a perfect canvas finish. For best results on dry to very dry skin, apply moisturizer prior to using powder.

Ingredients: Mica, Boron Nitride, Mineral Oil, Aluminum Distearate, Petrolatum, Tocopherol, Phenoxyethanol. May Contain: Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, Carmine, Ultramarines

My Opinion:

I got this mainly because it claims to be a correcting powder, and since my skin is either reddish or sallow, I though this might help.

This is a finely milled powder, that did brighten my complexion, but did nothing to tone down redness.

I've been using this to set my makeup and it does the job, but I don't love it enough to repurchase.

For an extra pop of color, sweep brush over the pink heart and apply on cheeks. For best results on dry to very dry skin, apply moisturizer prior to using powder.

My Opinion:

I've needed a new face powder and made the purchase due to the lovely packaging, but once I swatched it on the back of my hand, knew immediately that there was no way for me to use it all over my face, I would call this a highlighter rather than a face powder.

This powder is not shimmery at all, but it'll give you the most beautiful sheen. I don't usually wear highlighters on a daily basis, but since I've got this product, have been using it nearly everyday.

My Opinion:
I've always wanted to try Physician's formula, and since I've wanted a new blotting powder, I've decided to get this in the shade translucent.

After using it once, I knew immediately that I won't be able to use it for touch up, because this powder is just way to light for my skintone, definetly not translucent, it does leave a white cast....

HAUL MADNESS II

After these 2 posts, I guess you all would agree that I do need to go for "No Buy".

I've decided to split my purchases in the following categories:
  • Makeup - definetly NO BUY
  • Skincare - I'm allow to replace stuffs that I've finished
  • Body and Haircare - I'm allow for replace
For makeup products I'm going to try for a 3 months no buy, while I'm targeting for 12 months period (fingers crossed)

For skin care and body care products, I'm only setting my target for 1 month.

I'm going to stick with my plans, and I'm already feeling miserable....
