Boots Beer & Egg Intensive Hair Treatment Weightless Hair

Contents: 400ml
Price: Baht 125.00
Local of Purchase: Boots Thailand

According to the package:
With natural extracts of Beer and Egg, Boots ingredients intensive hair treatment is specially formulated to give fullness and body to your hair, whilst leaving it volumised, more manageable and deeply moisturized.

Ingredients:  Water ( Auqa ), Cetyl alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Cetrimonium Chloride, Dimethicone, Cocamide MEA, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Behentrimonium Chloride, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Parfum, Methylparaben, Tocopheryl Acetate, Polyquatemium 10 , Lactic acid, Guar hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Disodium EDDTA, Panthenol, Helianthus annuus ( Sunflower ) Seed Oil, Octyldodecanol, Propylene Glycol SD alchol 39-C, Methylisothiazolinone, Ovum ( Egg yolk ) Extract Faex ( yeast ) Extract, Tris ( Tetramethylhydroxypiperidinol ) Citrate, Benzotriazolyl dodecyl p-cresol, Hydrogenated, Coco Glycerides, CI 15510, CI 19140

My Opinion:

I think I went thru 4-5 tubs of this hair treatment, but sadly this isn't available here in Hong Kong and I have to stock up whenever I'm in Thailand.

This isn't a mirable product, and I don't think it works for really damaged hair. The reason why I like it is because it really hydrates my hair, and sometimes when I over treat my hair with Keratin products, I need this to balance out the gummy effect from Keratin.

Since last year I have been having Brazilian Blowout done every 3 months, and in the meantime I have a Keratin treatment once or twice a week at home. Although Keratin is an amazing product if you over do it, it leaves your hair gummy, and I've learned that to get rid of this gumminess I need something really hydrating on my hair, and so far this product has been doing the job.

Boots Cucumber Oil Control Light Moisturiser UVA UVB Protection SPF15

Contents: 100 ml
Price: 69 Baht
Local of Purchase: Boots (Thailand)

Ingredients: Aqua, Titanium Dioxide, Glycerin, Stearic Acid, Sorbitol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Cetyl Alcohol, Ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, Cinnamomum, Propylene Glycol, Hydrogenated palm glycerides, Alcohol, BHT, Carbomer, Cetrimonium chloride, Citrus aurantifolia, Cucumis Sativus, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Disodium EDTA, Polysorbate 20, PVP, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Citrate, Silica, Stearyl Alcohol, Fragrance, Chlorphenesin, Methylparaben, Phenoxyethanol, Propylparaben.

My Opinion:

I think this product is exclusively sold in Thailand, because I've tried googling it, and the closest thing that I found was the Boots Essentials Cucumber Moisturising Cream (available in the UK), but it doesn't contains SPF.

I've initially found this product to be too heavy for my taste, but it has grown on me, and you really need to try it to figure out how much product you need, only a tiny bit should do, don't try to apply it like your regular moisturiser, it'll be too heavy.

This product takes awhile to be absorbed, and it does leave a white cast, but once it is absorbed it really mattifies your skin, great product for oily skin during the summer.

Boots Botanics Leave-in Volumizing Conditioner

Contents: 250ml (8.4 us fl oz)
Price: Bht195.00
Local of Purchase: Boots Thailand

According to Boot's webpage:

For fine, limp and lack lustre hair. Gives body and volume to hair without weighing it down. The lightweight spray moisturises and detangles. Hair looks and feels thicker.

Ingredients: Aqua, Polysorbate 20, Peg-40, hydrogenated castor oil, phenoxyethanol, parfum, polyquaternium-10, panthenol, benzophenone-4, sodium benzoate, sodium methylparaben, dipropylene glycol, citric acid, glycerin, citronellol, pentylene glycol, sodium acetate, sodium chloride, ruscus aculeatus extract, coumarin, isopropyl alcohol, lactid acid.

My opinion:

While I was on holiday in Thailand last year, I forgot to bring my leave-in conditioner, so I've just pop into Boots and got this for my hair. Unfortunately, it did not work, it did not provide enough hydration, and my hair was still dry and coarse after using it.

I brought it back hoping that it might work in Hong Kong's climate, but I was really dissapointed, because it did not hydrate, did not detangles, it left my hair sticky and I did not like the scent.

I had this product for nearly a year, and have tried using it during different seasons, but it's still not working. Since I've been clearing my unused stuffs, I'll just try to use it up, but won't be buying it again.

According to Boot's Webpage:

This intensely hydrating 3 minute mask conditions where it's needed most, to leave hair shiny and strengthened with added protection from environmental damage. Rice Bran Protein conditions Grapeseed oil hydrates Dermatologically tested Rice Bran Protein: This extract contains high levels of protein which can bind moisture onto the hair surface.

Ingredients: Aqua, Cetyl Alcohol, Cocamide MEA, Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Phenoxyethanol, Cetrimonium Chloride, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Butyrospermum parkii butter, Panthenol, Lactid Acid, Parfum, Benzophenone-4, Propylene glycol, Vitis vinifera seed oil, Dipropylene glycol, Hydrolized rice protein, Vitis vintera extract, Citric acid, Methylparaben, Sodium benzoate, Propylparaben

My Opinion:
Got this from Thailand this summer and found it too heavy for the summer days, it left my hair oilier than usual and I've stopped using it. Since the climate is dryer now, I've started to use it again and love it, it gives my hair the right amount of nourishment, and it volumize as well. I've noticed that it is easier to style my hair after using this product, and the curls just looks bouncier.

Please note that this hair mask texture is very goopy, and you don't need much for each application.

My Opinion:

I've mentioned before that I love Boots Coconut and Almond Intensive Hair Treatment before, but I found this to be too heavy for the summer days, so I've switch to Avocado & Macadamia, and I like this even better, because it hydrates my hair and it gives volume as well, great for the summer days and it smells amazing.

I've recently noticed that whenever I visit Thailand I always bring back a bunch of hair care product, and they are just amazing.

容量: 400ml (13.5 us fl oz)
價錢:Baht 125

Update (05/03/2011): I've finished this bottle and though that I should write an update. I personally think this is more of a primer rather than a serum, because it just feel like one of those silicone base and I didn't see any permanent effect on my skin.

Boots luxurious soft intensive foot moisturising cream

Contents: 120ml
Price 400 Baht (got this from thailand)

According to the package:

This rich, non-greasy cream contains jojoba oit to moisturise, added vitamin A and vitamin E to smooth and condition your skin, whilst essential oils and menthol soothe and refresh your skin.

Direction:
Apply generously to clean, dry feet and massage until absorbed.

My Opinion:
I've got seriously dry feet and I think that's the consequence of neglecting my feet for over 20 years.

I've actually found the best foot cream, and that's NIVEA, but I just keep on trying new stuff hoping that I'll find something better (no such luck yet....)

The boots foot cream is ok, smells great, absorbs really fast, but it only provides enough moisture for my feet during summer, it does not work for me during winter time.

I think this product is no longer available (I got mine from thailand last year), the new version looks like this:

Boots No.7 Reviving Eye Gel

Contents: 15ml
Price: I got this as a free gift while I was shopping in Boots(Thailand)

Product description:

  • refreshing combination of witch hazel, horse chestnut extract and pro-vitamin B5 come together to offer you a fresh, bright-eyed appearance

  • soothing gel erases the effects of long hours and late nights

  • Calming and cool, it diminishes the appearance of dark circles in the under-eye area

Ingredients:

Aqua (Water), Butylene Glycol, Polysorbate 20, Carbomer, Dimethicone, Cyclopentasiloxane, Phenoxyethanol, Cetyl Dimethicone, Propylene Glycol, Panthenol, Potassium Hydroxide, Methylparaben, Alcohol, Dimethicone Copolyol, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Tetrasodium EDTA, Hamamelis Virginiana Distillate (Witch Hazel), Isobutylparaben, Propylparaben, Aesculus Hippocastanum (Horse Chestnut) Seed Extract (Horse chestnut), Decyl Glucoside

My opinion:

I've always opt for eye cream instead of gel, because my undereye area is really dry and gel texture usually do not provide enough hydration for my needs, in other words, my dry lines become very obvious after I put on my makeup if I use a eye gel.

However, this is a suprisingly good eye gel, I've used it under my makeup and I didn't get any dry lines after i put on my makeup.
